How to use the social media image resizer
- Open your image.
- Pick the target size from the list.
- Choose whether to crop to fill or fit the whole image, then download.
About this tool
One image rarely suits every platform: Pinterest wants tall 2:3 pins, X wants wide 16:9 cards, and LinkedIn banners are wider still at nearly 4:1. Posting the same file everywhere means letting each platform crop it, usually through the middle of whatever mattered.
Each preset here is the platform's current recommended size. Crop to fill when the subject is central, or fit with a background when the whole image needs to be visible.
Common uses
- Preparing one photo for several platforms.
- Making a LinkedIn or Facebook cover that is not cropped oddly.
- Producing a tall Pinterest pin from a landscape photo.
Frequently asked questions
- What size is a Facebook cover photo?
- 820×312 on desktop, though it is cropped to 640×360 on mobile — keep the important part central.
- Which size works best on Pinterest?
- 1000×1500, a 2:3 ratio. Taller pins take more space in the feed but get truncated beyond about 2:3.
