Privacy policy
What happens to your files, your input and your visit.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
Files and input you give to a tool
Every tool published on this site today processes your input inside your own browser. Files you open are read from your device by the page, worked on in memory, and offered back to you as a download. They are not transmitted to a server, and the operator of this site never receives them.
Text you paste into a formatter, encoder, counter or calculator is handled the same way. It is not logged and not stored.
If a tool is ever added that needs server-side processing, that page will say so before you use it, and this policy will be updated to describe what is uploaded, where it is processed and how long it is kept.
Information stored in your browser
Some tools remember non-sensitive preferences — a unit setting, a chosen output format — using your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser’s site settings.
Analytics
The site may use a web analytics service to count visits and understand which tools people use, so the roadmap reflects real demand. Analytics records page addresses, referrers, and general technical information such as browser type and approximate region. It does not receive the contents of anything you paste or open in a tool.
Advertising
This site is intended to be supported by advertising. When advertising is enabled, the ad provider may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure ad delivery and, depending on your consent and location, personalise the ads you see. Where consent is legally required, you will be asked before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice later from the cookies page.
Advertising technology is operated by third parties under their own privacy policies. Their processing is not covered by the statement above about tool input, which concerns only what the tools themselves do.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the tools do not collect your files or input, most requests concern analytics and advertising data. Email hello@webkitool.com and we will help you direct the request appropriately.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
This policy will change as the site changes — particularly when advertising is enabled or if a server-side tool is introduced. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision.
