About this tool

Start, pause, resume and lap, with each lap showing both its own split and the total elapsed time — the two figures runners and anyone timing repeated work actually need.

Elapsed time is taken from the clock rather than accumulated from intervals, so the reading is right even if the tab was in the background while it ran. Laps can be copied as a tab-separated list, which pastes straight into a spreadsheet.

Common uses

  • Timing intervals in training.
  • Measuring how long a task actually takes.
  • Recording splits during a process.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is it?
It reads a monotonic high-resolution clock and displays tenths. It is accurate enough for training and process timing, and not intended for official results.
Are my laps saved?
Only while the page is open. Copy or note them before you leave.
