Paste text and get a paginated PDF. Useful for turning notes, a log, an email or a code listing into something that can be attached, printed or archived without opening a word processor.

Line wrapping measures the actual font rather than counting characters. That distinction matters more than it sounds: proportional fonts vary by a factor of four in width between a lowercase i and a capital W, so a wrap based on character count either overflows the margin or wastes half the line. A word too long for the line — a URL, usually — is broken rather than allowed to run off the page.

The three fonts offered are the ones built into the PDF format itself, which is why the output stays small. The trade-off is real and stated on the page: those fonts cover Latin-1 only, so emoji, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic and CJK text cannot be encoded and appear as question marks. Supporting them would mean embedding a font of several megabytes in every document, which is not a reasonable default.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some characters show as question marks?

The fonts built into the PDF format cover Latin-1 only. Emoji and non-Latin scripts cannot be encoded by them, and embedding a font that covers everything would add megabytes to every document.

Does it keep my line breaks?

Yes. Your line breaks are kept and long lines are wrapped to the margins, measured with the real font so they fit properly.

Can I use my own font?

Not here. Custom fonts have to be embedded, which means uploading a font file and a much larger output.
