About this tool
Every PDF carries properties most people never see: who is named as the author, which software produced it, when it was created and last modified, and whether it is encrypted. This shows all of it, plus the physical page size in millimetres and inches.
That metadata is worth checking before you share a document. Files exported from a template often still name the original author, and the Producer field usually reveals exactly which application made the file. Treat the values as clues rather than proof — any of them can be edited or left over from an earlier document.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I remove this metadata?
- Not with this tool yet — a metadata remover is planned. For now, the tool that produced the PDF usually has a document-properties dialog where the fields can be cleared.
- Why is the author blank?
- The field is optional and many exporters leave it empty. A blank value simply means nothing was recorded.
- Is the file uploaded to check it?
- No. The properties are read on your device and nothing is sent or stored.
